Perpetual Care has two mental health units based in Bolton, Lancashire. Both homes provide 24 hour staffing and have a focus on independence and rehabilitation and can accommodate 11 people of mixed sex. The homes can care for adults from 18+ who suffer from any form of mental illness.
The size of the units means that comfortable, homely surroundings are achieved which have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. This environment allows residents to have a certain level of privacy and enables new residents to settle in quickly. Both houses have two sitting rooms, one for people who wish to smoke; whilst all other areas in the home are non-smoking, dining and kitchen areas are communal.
Each resident has their own individual bedroom, which is fully equipped with bedding and furniture, although residents are welcome to bring their own furnishings if they wish and they are encouraged to personalise their rooms as much as possible.
Prior to a new resident’s admission to one of our units, the resident will be offered several visits to the home, including an overnight stay so that they can settle in and understand the running of the house.
During the day Perpetual Care has sufficient staff numbers to allow residents to participate in chosen activities and are offered one-to-one time. All our staff are highly motivated, well trained and most have been with the Organisation since it was established. They are used to dealing with both residents’ families and professionals to ensure the welfare and needs of the resident are met.
